What is the closest airport?

We are 90 minutes from Juan Santamaria (SJO) Airport, in San Jose. However, we recommend that you allow up to 4 hours from the time you land until the time you arrive, due to possible delays upon arrival and picking up your rental vehicle.

What activities are available?

There are lots of fun things to do in and around Esterillos Oeste. However, one of our favourite things to do is relax and enjoy the slower pace of life of this quiet beach town and spend most of our time at the beach!

Do we need a car?

Renting a car and driving to Esterillos Oeste is the easiest way to get around, as the village is 1.5km from the nearest bus stop, and most attractions are best reached by car. However, it is possible to book a shuttle from SJO that will drop you off at our home, and pick you up, and book a taxi to take you where you need to go.
